Objectives of the Study

1. Synthesis of Gold (Au), Silver (Ag) and Ferrite (Fe3o4) nanoparticles, through chemical method and their characterization.. 

2. To study the effect of size characteristics of the proposed metal nanoparticles on their uptake, using plant cell suspension culture technique.. 
3. To study dose kinetics of nanoparticles in plant growth stimulation and mapping their toxicity profile.. 
4. To study the effects of nanoparticles on phytohormone levels redox status of Brassica juncea.. 
5. To study the involvement of MAP-kinase signaling pathway in mediating the effects of nanoparticles.

Proposed outcomes of the study

1. Th e present study is an effort towards understanding, the role of nanoparticles in affecting, plant growth and development. The outcome will eneble us to explain the mode of action of selected nanoparticles in inducing, the plant growth regulatory activity. 

2. The studies will help in designing suitable nanoparticle based nanofertilizer formulation, in combination with phytohormes, which could enhance crop productivity and bring about a reduction in the use of conventional fertilizers.
