Objectives of the Study

1. To design and develop prototype machine by centrifugal spinning method

2. To demonstrate the developed centrifugal spun scaffolds by spinning various polymers used as scaffolds.
3. To demonstrate the developed centrifugal spun scaffolds in osteoblast cell culture studies

Proposed outcomes of the study

At present there is a huge dmand for the production of nano fibers. Most of the research attempt has been focused on the production of nano fibers by electrospinning. The electrospinning involoves application of high voltage to polymeric solution and at the same time the throughput rate by electrospinning is very low. Hence in the present proposal it is planned to develop a centrifugal spinning system and to demonstrated successfully its applications in regenerative medicine.
